The first meeting of the Syrian-Egyptian Business Council assembled nearly 200 businessmen from both countries.

Upon exchanging transparently about the difficulties that are hindering the development of economic relations between the two countries, ministers and officials confirmed the orientation towards forming an appropriate climate for increasing the industrial and trade cooperation.

It was agreed to accept certificates of conformity and standards in both countries and to revise customs procedures in order to facilitate the inter-trade.
